BREATH
OF THE WEST is home of the original Wyoming Sagebrush Candle.
These candles originated in Frannie, Wyoming,
in 1928, and have been in continuous, evolving production ever since.
Today, the entire manufacturing process takes place
in Powell, Wyoming, just 20 miles west of Frannie. The candles reflect
our Western tradition. We gather our prairie sage at peak season, May,
when the leaves are fresh and fragrant. We then incorporate the sage into
our handcrafted candles.
Sagebrush candles are a treasured tradition in our
family, and we are happy to be able to share them with you.
Recycled packaging materials are used whenever possible.

I bring memories
of a favorite horse, the smell and creak of leather,
bright sunlight, purple shadows, the coyote's lonesome call,
above all else, the infinite silence and quiet majesty of the mountains.
To others who have never known the sagebrush land, my pungent odor
will somehow remind you of these things. I am only a sagebrush candle,
just a little ....
